“PT. Japan Indonesian Basic” is a Japanese language school in Jogjakarta, In-donesia founded by Basic Co., Ltd., which runs sewing factories in Kagawa. It was founded for the purpose of providing young people who “wish to study in Japan” an opportunity to learn Japanese language and culture in advance. The tuition is free, and it has its own dormitory. There have been more than 100 graduates in the last 20 years. Many young people who received language training in this school for 6 months to a year are playing an active part as technical intern trainees at the sites of nursing, farming and sewing in Japan.

Nice Corporation has been involved in management of the project since 2002 and accepted the graduates at the site of denim production in Kojima. Among the people who had worked with us in Kojima and gone back to their country after finishing their training period, some even opened a denim shop.

We want to meet new members from around the world, want them to see this beautiful land of Kojima, and want to introduce the denim of Kojima to the world and the next generation. In pursuit of those wishes, we welcome new members and support them.
